GO SEE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX!  Great movie.  David Yates is finally the director that this series has needed.  He understands the characters so well and even though some things were left out, it was still the best movie out of the series.  Imelda Staunton as Umbridge will curl your toes!  It is so much worse watching this character than it was to read her.  And that is saying much.  In fact, I have read several reviews that say she should get an oscar nod for this role. Wow.  Michael Gambon finally delivered a closer representation to the Dumbledore that I want.  The younger actors have grown up so much.  David, Ruprit, and Emma all have become fine actors who should be able to hold their own in future movies that aren't Harry Potter.  And you will be so proud of Neville. Like always.  Yates also slaps all of the Harry/Hermione shippers in the face by blatantly having Hermione and Ron quasi-flirting.  Overall, two thumbs up from me!

Knocked Up

If you thought this was a movie review, your wrong.  Yep ladies and gentlemen. Jonathan and I are once again expecting!!!  Just please keep us and the baby in your prayers, especially for the next 10 weeks.  If we make it to three months than we have survived a very difficult hump.  We are putting all of our trust in God in this and know that he is completely in control.

Goodbye and Good riddance.

So.  My departure at ACS was absolutely void of any goodbyes or emotion.  In fact, the last four weeks have been the Earthly equivalent of hell.  The kids decided to absolutely disobey every thing that I asked them to do.  12 people failed my final because they failed to work on their duets.  And then had the audacity to complain to me about their grades.  The kids that I thought liked me or that I thought that I had made a difference to turned on me also.  The Junior class, which is the class I sponsor and worked my butt off for the last year, left me off of their class t-shirts and only put Mrs. Gilbreth on them because "she's their real leader and I'm  not a real teacher."  Well, @#$& you too!  Of course on Wednesday, they had the gall to ask me to be in a picture with them, while they all wore their "Gilbreth's Army" t-shirts and salute her.  Hell no!  But the most amazing thing, was last Sunday, Jonathan and I were invited to the Breckenridge Theatre Dept. Banquet and those kids were polite, kind, and excited about me being there.  I was told, "Yes, Ma'am. and Please, and Thank you. " Folks, I haven't heard that from a student since my second year at ACHS.  But I guess thats was happens when you go from rich brat kids to kids who don't have a lot.  Do not believe for an instant that because those kids at ACS are suppose to be "Christian" that they are.  Now given, there are a few.  But the majority are just little spoiled snobs who think that doing Christ's work gets in the way of their social life and coolness.  They are given everything and give back nothing.  I took the job so that not only would I make a difference, I would also strengthen my walk with God.  I figured, being surrounded by a group that loves God, I too would blossom into the Christian that I wanted to be.  However, what really happened was me hating the Church of Christ denomination vehemently and becoming quite the cynic.  If this school's students are tomorrow's leader, I feel so sorry for us that I'm moving to France. Not even kidding.

Amber, please don't let this discourage you.  Just go in there and be a Nazi at the beginning.  Hopefully, the bad ones will weed out of your class and leave the ones who want to be there. Then you should have a better time.

On a good note, I'm moving into my new classroom on Tuesday.  I'm am excited for two reasons.  One, get rid of the three carloads of stuff that I have accumulated.  Two, set up for a better time in my life. Wish me luck.

Goodbye small room, no stage, no money, etc...

I am leaving ACHS. Yes, that's right. I have officially been hired to be the theatre teacher at Breckenridge High School. Don't worry. We aren't going anywhere. But its double the money and a HUGE classroom that has a stage in it that I plan on turning into a black box. And if any of you have ever seen my current classroom, you know that HUGE is anything bigger. I HAVE A REAL THEATRE!!!!! WITH BRAND NEW LIGHTS AND SOUND WITH MY OWN MICS! I have a shop and dressing rooms and curtains. Well, I have everything. I am so excited. And, I have already started working on my Fall production. We will be doing Oklahoma! because I want to go big my first year and lets face it, it'll make me a ton of money. Well, I love all of you and miss you all terribly.

Billie
